Bags
Aipura’s biohazard bags are manufactured to meet and exceed federal and California standards. They are properly color coded, impervious to moisture, and tested to preclude ripping, tearing, or bursting. All of our bags have exceeded the 165-gram dropped dart impact resistance test prescribed by Standard D 1709-85 of the American Society for Testing and Materials.

BioElite - BIO242419
Biohazard Bag
24.00"H x 24.00"W
Developed through consultation with the California Department of Health Services’ Hospital Pollution Prevention Program (HP3), Bio-Elite bags are cadmium-free and made from a blend of high-density polyethylene (HDPE), linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE), and recycled materials, providing a stronger, lighter bag for the job.
Other Features:
- Bio-Elite bags passed the ASTM dropped dart test at 185 grams, and are composed of high-density, recycled plastic scrap, which weighs less than the traditional low-density plastic typically used in red bag construction.
- The bags contain a “star” seal on the bottom to distribute the weight and help prevent tearing or zippering along the bottom seam.
- Bio-Elite bags are 15% cheaper than the standard-density plastic red bags.
- Use of Bio-Elite bags is recommended by the California Department of Public Health as an intervention strategy to reduce the generation of medical waste.
